The fact that this box of fudge mix survived, unopened, for 40 someodd years is amusing enough, but what a sweet deal on the back of the box! Glenn Miller Originals, a $3.99 value, yours for $1.00! Selections include Chattanooga Choo Choo, I've Got a Gal in Kalamazoo, Stairway to the Stars, Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree, Lamplighter's Serenade, My Blue Heaven, The Woodpecker Song and Londonderry Air. A couple of the titles I can't quite make out. The ad goes on further to say "Featuring Tex Beneke, Martion Hutton, The Modernaires and the original Glenn Miller band."
I would have sent for the record for sure. Then when I got it in the mail, I would have put the record on to play and made some fudge! :)
