Over the past few years I have found more and more links spread out across the web everytime I do some kind of Google search for anything having to do with Glenn Miller. Here are some select links. Glenn Miller Birthplace Society -- Organization dedicated to maintaining the Miller legacy by preserving Miller's birthplace in Clarinda, Iowa and hosting the Glenn Miller Festivial in June of each year.

Arlington National Cemetary - Alton Glenn Miller, Major, United States Army -- A memorial headstone was placed in Arlington National Cemetary by the request of Glenn's daughter in 1992.

MySpace.com - Glenn Miller -- Yes, even Glenn has a MySpace page! Part of the promotion of the Glenn Miller Orchestra, the page lists nearly 7,000 friends. (Editor's Note: I requested to be added as a friend and apparently was denied. LOL)

Glenn Miller and His Orchestra: Live From Canada! -- Personal site of GM collector Alain LeBlanc which includes a section documenting the Miller band's visit to Canada in January of 1942.

GlennMillerFans at Yahoo Groups -- Very active discussion group on Yahoo with fans of Glenn from all over the world talking about one of their favorite band leaders. Many of the members are consummate Miller collectors and know their stuff!

Music in the Miller Mood -- A wonderful page done by George Spink based on a series of articles he wrote that appeared in the Chicgao Sun-Times in 1984, during the 40th anniversary of Glenn's disappearance.

Chris Popa, former disc jockey and currently a Music Librarian in Chicago, has a terrific website with articles written about several of the big band leaders. Here are two great articles on Glenn Miller based on interviews conducted with former Miller musicians and associates:

Big Bands Database Plus: American Big Bands: "M" -- Glenn Miller (and younger brother Herb Miller) listings in the Big Bands Database Plus.

Glenn Miller: The Lost Recordings -- Back in 1995, this 2-CD set was released and has close to 40 selections from the six ABSIE (American Broadcasting Station in Europe) broadcasts that Miller's AEF band took part in in October/November of 1944. This site basically reproduces the CD liner notes, photos and band personel listing and also covers a brief history of the ABSIE and of Miller's involvement. The track listing for the discs is no longer available online.

Star of the Month: Glenn Miller -- From the Harry Warren website. Nice write up on Glenn and the songs written by Harry Warren and Mack Gordon which became huge hits, including "Chattanooga Choo Choo," "Serenade In Blue," "At Last" and "I Know Why." It would appear that Mr. Miller has been star of the month indefinetly. :)

Glenn Miller Festival - Twinwood Airfield -- Twinwood Farm Airfield was the last place Glenn Miller was seen alive when he boarded the fateful flight to Paris. In 2002 the airfield's control tower was restored and since then has hosted several events and fesitvals, among them The Glenn Miller Festival.
