Naturally, what would the point of this site be if we didn't talk about the music and the people that made it possible! Take a look at the stats. In the four short years GM's civilian band was active, it literally dominated the music scene, scoring hit after hit. Few, if any, bands since then have duplicated the success, be they a big band, rock band or otherwise.

Miller and the band perform "Chattanooga Choo Choo" in the film Sun Valley Serenade (1941)


F"Chattanooga Choo Choo" - 1941. The first gold record ever issued to an artist/band for selling 1 million units. Not since the 1920's had a musical act sold that many records.

FChart re-entries:
In the Mood/Little Brown Jug/American Patrol,
